Lines for Dinner

I made fettuccine for dinner tonight. (I love that dish, especially with Parmesan chicken). Anyways, I dished up the boys dinner and gave it to them. T.J. loves this, Cody is border line, and Hunter always thinks it's gross. So I was surprised when Hunter asked me, "Mom, could you give me some more.... um, Lines?" It took me a second, then Jared and I got what he was saying and started to laugh. By "Lines" he meant more fettuccine noodles. Hunter said, "I don't know what this is called, but I want more. I like it this time. All the other times it was sick. But this is the kind I like. So make this kind all the time." Of course I had to give him more "Lines". I think this dinner has a new name now.

The Scrapbooked Wedding Pages are Finished!

I finished the wedding pages today for the sign in book for Jaimi and Trevor's wedding. It's a good thing, too, cause the wedding is FRIDAY! Here's some of my favorites....

I took those pictures of them. Went to the lake at Day Break back in March.

Love these pictures!

It says Jaimi and Trevor in the heart. I took that one too.

This is one of my favorites!

Jaimi had me do 16 pages altogether; eight ivory, eight chocolate brown. Her wedding colors are ivory, chocolate brown and burnt orange. I love how these pages with the colors turned out. And what's funny, on the back of the orange paper is dinosaurs. Haha! The kick-off to a wedding week! Glad these are done.

Typical

Typical boys here at our house. We went to McDonald's for lunch today and asked for the boy toy in the happy meal. Instead we got a girl's. Oh dear. That didn't sit too well. Cody was pretty mad. So I told him just save it and shoot it with his BB gun he just got for his birthday. He liked that idea.
Later that day after Cody and I had met with the primary president for his baptism, I was out front talking to her when all my boys came running out front saying I had to come see something. Instead they brought it to me on a board. Check it out...

Not only had they shot it, but then got the idea to rip it apart, get the ketchup and squeeze some on making it look like blood, and even had BB's stuck to her like there was some kind of shooting. You could see the BB's before they added even more blood.

So typical. Gotta laugh at this one. Plus, I kinda started the idea. Love my boys.

Cody's 8th Birthday/Father's Day

Cody's 8th Birthday landed on Father's Day this year so we had 2 fun events to celebrate today. Not too much happened during the morning hours though. I unfortunately woke up with a stupid migraine at 6:30 (Been way too stressed lately with this crazy month, plus had MAJOR allergies, too). So off to bed I went. The boys were so good to let me sleep. Instead they played with the balloons we got for his birthday.
Cody loves ice cream sandwiches so this was part of his breakfast. These are part of a good birthday breakfast.  :)
Cody's pet Cat balloon.

After church and Cody's interview with the bishop for his baptism, we gave Jared his Father's Day presents. Cody made him a cute tool belt at school.

T.J. gave him popcorn and root beer.

He also made this cute card for him at scouts.

Hunter made this card at school. I really hope his feet were clean the day he did this. Hunter hates wearing socks and tries to get away with it as much as possible.

We all gave Jared a new watch and a shirt.

The boys made these cute ties for him in primary. I didn't go today to see them make it. I only went for the end of primary to see them sing to Cody and then part of Sacrament to hear the boys sing in sacrament meeting for Father's Day. This was a weird migraine. But luckily by the time for the birthday party, it had turned into just a headache and left me feeling worn down.

My cute boys with my cute dad. We gave him 2 fun signs to hang up in his garage. We love hanging out in Grandpa's Garage!!

We gave Grandpa Morse a bright green tie. This was the first tie I have ever bought for Father's Day. I usually don't like to buy what everyone else does, but we liked this tie for him.
Cody got a scripture bag from Primary for his birthday. (I actually made this one.)
We had his family birthday party that night.

Jaimi and Trevor couldn't come and Tira and Dave & the girls because of Father's Day. Jaimi and Trevor gave this to Cody. She finds candy and then spells out his name with it. The boys love these presents.

Presents!!

We gave Cody a BB gun, a model of a dinosaur that's made of metal pieces like nuts, bolts, screws, etc., a zebra mug he picked out, and clothes.

He also got two web kins (that chicken in his head), puzzles, dinosaurs, a radio set you actually build, more clothes, games, and money.

He wanted a zoo cake. I wanted to build fun pathways with trees lining them, but when the migraine hit this morning, we simplified.

Cody testing out his new BB gun. Don't worry, it wasn't loaded. He was just shooting the balloons we hang up with air.

We always hang up streamers and balloons all over the living room for birthdays. We're lucky if they stay up the whole time. T.J. and Hunter couldn't stand it anymore. One of T.J.'s favorite things is to pull them all down.

My mom and Jared's Grandma Butterfield.

Silly Dad.

Cody loves Kai. All my boys have loved him and have always been excited to play with him since the day he was born. Cody is so cute with him. So responsible, too.

Hunter and Grandma's Butterfield and Morse all putting his sponge bob puzzle together.

Birthday Boy.

Cute Brothers.

Happy Birthday Cody!! We love you so much! You are always so thoughtful and loving and always wanting to help everyone. We love you and are so happy to have you with us!

Egg Drop/Birthday Table

Today was a big day at school. All the year end stuff we've had these last couple weeks, I feel like I'm working at the school! Today was the annual EGG DROP! The kids all look forward to this every year. And you know what I like about it? It's a science project, but it's so fun that it doesn't feel like a science project!
The boys with their Egg Drops. (Hunter is pretending to hike the ball.) We hallowed out the center of a Nerf football, filled it with cotton and an egg, and sealed it up with duct tape. The egg has to be raw, not hard boiled. Sometimes we use our homegrown chickens eggs cause they have a harder shell. (Haha!) But this year we were out of them.

They call out a couple of grades at a time. The kids bring out their chairs to sit and watch. That's Cody. The excitement level at these is pretty high. It's so fun!

Their awesome principle gets on the roof and throws the eggs drops off one class at a time.
The principle throwing Cody's off. If you look really close, it's the tiny spot at the top of the picture. Mr. Westwood always throws the footballs as far as he can. The kids love to watch it fly past them.

Our cute friend Jesse Kent was helping unravel the eggs to see if they survived.

Cody's made it!

If you survive, you get three treats. The "loosers" get only one.

T.J. and Teegan coming out. Teeg made a big airplane and taped his egg on it.

T.J.'s flying in the air.

T.J., Teegan, and Brodie all waiting to see who's made it. Teegan's died. Brodie's survived.

And so did T.J.'s!!

Cody and Hunter playing with their cousin Kai. They just love him!

Later on we had the birthday table for Cody. Every month the school celebrates the kids birthdays for that month with parents coming, cookies, prizes and pencils. Most kids want lunch brought in for them. Cody wanted McDonald's. Hunter got to come with us, and T.J. ate with us, too. We missed T.J.'s birthday table this school year cause we were camping so we made up for it today. I stole a picture of the boys with Mr. Westwood (who is sticking out his tongue!). We love that principle!!! He does everything he can to help the kids love school. He dresses up as the Cat in the Hat on Dr. Seuss's Birthday, has the best costume every Halloween, knows every kids name at school and most of their parents, too, and does everything he can to make sure we are happy. We are so blessed to have these boys in this school. Good principle, and good teachers!

Cody is Mr. Popular. He had 4 kids waiting for him to finish eating so they could all go play. I guess this happens all the time. Cody's a cutie. He's always a good friend.

Cody wanted to show me his new classroom and where he was sitting. So we stole a picture of him with his friend Josh.
