Thankful

Jared told us something he heard in class today at church. It was...

"What if you woke up and had only the things you said you were thankful for in your prayers last night?"

Isn't that so profound. Makes you think, huh. How many things would we end up with?

I know I'd have my family, our home, safety, and such. Really just the big things I pray about. But really, there is so much to be thankful for. Yes, I am so thankful for my family. For Jared who is my best friend. And our boys, who keep life interesting and fun on a daily basis. I'm thankful for our home. And for the work Jared has. It's starting to drop off because it's getting colder, but I'm thankful for the work he does have. I'm thankful for our trucks, my bed, heat and power, food so we can eat, and that I can cook, our washer and dryer and dishwasher. Our t.v.. I know that's pathetic, but I love Law and Order: SVU and that's my out at nights. I'm thankful for my crafts and sewing machine that my mom gave me (yes, I kinda stole it, but she knows she never uses it and said to keep it). I'm thankful for our animals and being able to watch how much our boys love them. I'm thankful we got our huge trees down. So much stress has been lifted now with those down. I'm thankful we live in America, and for how beautiful it is. Love the sunsets! And for our freedom! And our soldiers!! So thankful my Dad is one of them!

And I'm so thankful I come from good families on both sides of my parents. They taught and lived good values and I hope to be able to live up to those values.

We have so much to be thankful for in our lives. I hope this Thanksgiving finds us all a little more thankful in our hearts and prayers. Because without Heavenly Father, these blessings wouldn't be possible! I'm so thankful for the gospel and the blessings, peace, and promises that come with it. I can't imagine my life without it.

Tonight when Jared told me and the boys this, he said in our prayers tonight to only say what we are thankful for. And the only thing we could ask to pray for Joan Turner in our ward. And so we did. The boys did really well with this. Once prayers were over though, T.J. said, "Oh, I didn't mean to pray for school and scouts though when I said thank you for everything." At least he covered everything else. Hope one day he realizes how blessed he is to go to school. He's a boy!
Hunter was watching a show on T.V. with a character that was named "Bubbles". He told me that was the cutest name and was going to name his kid that someday. Then he asked if I could change his name. I thought he was going to say change it to Bubbles, but instead he said change it to "Jim". He wants his name to be "Jim Kenison" just like his uncle. Well, they both look alike. I guess the name fits! Cute!

First Snow

Don't you just love the first snowfall of the year? We do! Especially since our huge trees are down so I don't have to worry about them falling on us!

We got our first big snow storm tonight while we were at Jared's parents for pizza night. This is what we found the boys doing...

It looked so cool to see them, standing in front of the garage with the light shining down on them, playing in the snow. So I just had to get my camera!

Don't mind the blurry-ness. I had it on the night setting which means no flash. And trying to get boys to hold still as I take a picture does not work!

Had to get the jump in!

Ya Hunter got pretty wet sitting in this wet snow, but he didn't care one bit!

They loved sliding in this stuff with their cowboy boots on.

First snowball of the season. Luckily I talked him out of throwing it at me...phew! Had my new camera. I seriously would have cried!

Cute boys. Yes, some are still blurry, but I love this picture!
Love how the snow looks as it falls around them. It was a heavy snow. We ended up getting about 3 inches in just an hour and a half.

We're missing one more cousin in this picture... Kai. But that crazy little two year old was back at the house without his pants, diaper, socks and shoes off and was running out on the front porch, so excited for the fun snow. Where did he get this idea? Before the boys went out to the garage, Cody, Teegan and Hunter took their boots & socks off to run barefoot though the snow. Kai just took it a step further. Thought I better not get a picture of that to put on here. Silly kid.

Happy start of Winter!

I love that my boys notice things.

Like this cute little leaf.

Full of fall colors.

Being held by my cute Cody's ginormous hands.

Love these boys.

My boys and hubby know when I go there, I'll be at least an hour. I have to look at everything! It's just too cute. And so much fun!

How do kids sleep like this?

Hope Hunt's getting some kind of air in there.

When this kids tired, there's no stoppin' him from his sleep.

Usually he's in his bed though, without telling us goodnight. We have no idea where he is until we realize what time it's getting to be. Guess he just couldn't make it there tonight.

Night-night buddy!

Hunter was telling Grandma Morse about school while eating pizza with her for pizza night (Our annual Friday Night get together). He said, "I had a Sub-a-tute today." She laughed.

So cute!
